Woohoo!!!

It happened.  My solo flight to Cape May took place today.  It was so peaceful and I felt like the Lord was guiding each step of the way.  I guess most of all I just felt blessed to be flying at all.  It is only by the grace of God, the support of SO MANY and some persistence on my end that I am flying today.  A dream is becoming a reality and one day soon, I hope to be transporting my first survivor of sex trafficking to a place of safety.  Only God knows…and my dreams are at His feet.

My Little Ride

I was pretty happy. It was a sunny, beautiful day!

In the early 1940’s this was an active Naval Air Station. There is now a museum here. I have not yet been but would like to go sometime.

I was hoping to go into the terminal to get something from the vending machine but they were doing renovations. I will have to come back when they re-open. There is a restaurant here. Anyone want to join me for lunch? 🙂

If God Wills…

After waiting 21 days for everything to line up, I think my solo flight may actually happen tomorrow. The winds are projected to be lower tomorrow.  I need them to be under 10 kts.  Right now, they are projected to be between 7 and 15 kts along my route.  The great thing is, I have a personal relationship with the Maker of the winds so, I am confident that if it doesn’t work out, there is a good reason.  But, I look forward to being able to accomplish this flight.

For those who haven’t heard yet, I had 2 great interviews with a flight school in Ewing, NJ who is looking for a dispatcher.  More or less it is a customer service/sales position.  I am very excited about it.  It would be a huge blessing and could benefit me in many ways.   After my flight tomorrow, I was told that I could go to this flight school and shadow an employee  for this potentially new job.

I hope to find out tomorrow if the job is a good fit for both the company and myself.

So, apart from the election, there is a lot going on tomorrow.  And, whatever happens in our country and in my life, I will know that it is for my good and His glory.  God is so Good like that.  Thank you Jesus for your everlasting kindness toward us.  We are grateful.

Feelings Proved Me Wrong

So, I had a “feeling” today would work out but honestly, God knows best.  I have a lot on my mind.  I am studying for my written test which I am planning to take next week.  I am waiting for my work schedule to come out so I can see what days I am off and will schedule my test then.

My instructor sent me a text of encouragement this morning.  It was good to hear.  He assured me that I will get this done and he will do what he can on his end to work with my schedule.  I really appreciate that.

Well, I need to study but just thought I would let you all know.

Thanks,

Liz 🙂

“No-Go” Today

Today was a no-go due to gusting winds at 18 kts (which equals 20 MPH).  Unfortunately, winds look to be the same tomorrow.  God is the maker of the wind and He has a perfect plan.  In the meanwhile, I will be studying for my written exam and “chair-flying” so I don’t get rusty. (“Chair-flying” just means, that you imagine all your turns, communications with Air Traffic Control and in your mind, go through the flight.  It helps keep a student fresh when they can’t fly).

Thanks for thinking of me,

Liz 🙂
